Something really big coming up.
Nothing more to say about it now, but this : I’m keeping my fingers crossed…
Watch this space for any news….

Armi & Danny sing : ‘I wanna love you tender’
To me there is nothing wrong with this music, but here the chorus line shows some of the most un-coolest moves ever.
I warned you. Look away, avoid, avoid!

Remix your own latin song. No extra software needed (apart from flash), no skills, no brain, just click this link:

(that’ll keep you busy for at least 3 minutes, have fun)
I’m speechless… you just watch this.

-inspired by Marco’s photo-composition-challenge-
This week I ripped a picture of the net and gave myself one hour to come up with a composition for it. Bonita’s dream was also a challenge like this but this time it took me exactly 1.04 minutes… and that makes this the most crappy and lazy manic Monday ever… A new depth has been reached.
My deepest apologies.

According to Variety the Red Hot Chilli Peppers (yes kids that’s a funk-rock band, more about that later) are suing the creators of the hit-comedy serie ‘Carlifornication’. Anyone who listened to a radio for the last 10 years knows that ‘californication’ is also the name of one of the RHCP’s biggest hits.
The word ‘Californication’ comes from the word ‘ to californicate’ and appeared on many bumperstickers in the 70s. (Don’t californicate Utah!) more can be found here.
To me filling a lawsuit about this sounds a little cocky -they want to stop them using the word, and a lot of money- but it gets a little weirder : The main character in the series is called Dani California, also a name of a Chilli Peppers single. Not exactly black and white lawsuit material, but could it be that the writer of the series wanted to hint or give a little tribute to his favourite band?
The Peppers video ‘Dani California‘ features the bandmembers dressed up as Elvis, Freddy and the Dreamers, Thin Lizzy, Jimi Hendrix, but also as…Tom Petty. And to me this single sounds exactly as Tom Petty’s ‘Mary Janes’s last dance’. I don’t care about copying stuff, but let’s call it even.
(actually I only wanted to tell that I don’t like bands who smell their own armpits all the time)

This man was on the front of a birthday card I got. (yes you can sing now: happy birthday dear schnauzer, happy birthday to you…etc).
I figured my uncle reads this blog on and off, since Heino was on a posting a while ago, so here’s my way to say thank you….
I confess: I knew this artist, and also have this recording. To discover that there is a video of this is like a little present.
Helmut Zacharias was a somewhat of a wunderkind. He performed the concert for violin and orchestra in G-major by Mozart at age 11 (his birthday was also the same as mozart) . After the war he started to play jazz and won many awards for that. In the 50′s he mixed Jazz with Deutsche Schlagers, and performed with very large orchestra’. He even got his own German TV-show.
He died in 2002 at age 82 and was a multi-millionaire. He sold over 14 million records.
There is much more to tell, but first: enjoy this, I know I did.
Talk about irony. These days artists make albums to promote live-shows, get people to listen to them live, sell shirts etc. The CD is almost a side-product. Most artists understand that you don’t have to sell a lot of cd’s to make a living.
And then I ran into this picture… I already knew that the record-industry was struggling, but now it is clear: They are communists and are struggling because they are evil!
