This melody is haunting me right now. That quirky synth sound tops the whole. Oh yes, you can also look at a rolling red ball, but I still didn’t get around watching it.

Crystalsong Forest

Mission: do an original, not a remix, not a cover.
specifics: Waltz, Accordion, Philicorda, Bells.
The clapping sound in the background is hands on naked thighs… Imagine a large condenser mic over a pair of legs with the trousers dropped on the ankles, on second thought: don’t. Sorry for that info, it sounded just way better with my pants off.

Playing for change
Movie makers Mark Johson and Jonathan Walls travelled around the globe the last three years to record street musicians perform Ben E. Kings ‘Stand by me’. They use battery powered mobile multi track equipment, meaning every performance can add something to the song, making it a worldwide collaboration. This will be released on a DVD with more songs, to fund the Playing for Change community. A beautiful movement, created to inspire, create music and bring world peace. This video is truly stunning.
Thanks Eric..
Want!
Fridgebuzzz, an Electronic manufacturer created a one of a kind synthesizer. Using an old Atari400 case completely strip it, and fill it with new electronics. Now it is a 12 oscilator and 3 modulator square wave synth. The fact that the keys are old-style arcade push buttons make my heart skip a beat.
Unfortunately it is a one of a kind, but they are working on a portable version. Frankly I couldn’t care less about the synth specs in there. I’d just create a little shrine in my studio and put this behind bullet-proof glass.

Happy New Year!
With this Tune I declare 2009 the year of the Schnauzer. It’s a bit hard describe this one; is it an original or a remix? 90% of what you hear is played in the last month. The rest is from a hard to find German 60s album. For some reason I keep going back to using found material, although it is way more work than recording an original from scratch. Note to self: do an original next week.
Backing Vocals: The Schnauz-ettes
Philicorda organ, percussion, drums, bleeps etc: Schnauzer Radio Orchestra
