I had to blink twice and pinch myself at first. This was to good to be true:

AN ENTIRE ALBUM AS AN ODE TO HOTDOGS!

Think of 70′s Steely Dan, strip out the intelligent Lyrics and you’ve got a Zappa-esque Hot Dog Rock. Why bring up the Z-word? Because it’s actually very well played! McSAPRR stands for Matt Chertkoff Sings and Plays Rock & Rol (a New York based Jazz Guitar player with a great love for Hot Dogs).

Now Jazzrock is nowadays mostly played by over-studied session musicians with a lack of musical taste, and no feel for swing or rock whatsoever. NOT HERE SIR! Like I said, it’s well played and no 70s clich

This week I ran into a Greek composer who claimed to have written a song for the Eurovision songfestival. Immediately I started searching for the Greek competitors. This is not the one. (his tune was even worse www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4ZAvt9Q_WA )
The one I ran into cracked us up here, so there you go. The Eurovision songcontest is a gold-mine filled with failed songs. Many more to come!

Back in 2007 as a kind of a joke, a friend of mine asked if I could make a song about his puppy. A rickety piano, a theremin and some shuffling about-sounds made a pretty funny tune back then.
A few months ago he called in again telling his dog was suffering from cancer. Not willing to go through months of chemo trying to make her life a tiny but longer, (her suffering would also be prolonged),

What is Christmas without a SuperNES, a Stylophone, a Wurlitzer and an all girls 60s choir? Nothing, I tell you!
Since I’m breaking a few laws with this one I am not telling who are the singers nanana.
Also it is unclear where the sampling stops and where the true schnauzer-sauce is starting. I’m just telling you can leave out the ladies and still a full track is playing for your little bear-dance. (If I’m ever planning to release this legally I would have to, don’t you just love copyright law?)
This track is sort of a new years resolution. The resolution is: A whole lot more like this to come!
