Winter Wonderland

winterstylophone

What is Christmas without a SuperNES, a Stylophone, a Wurlitzer and an all girls 60s choir? Nothing, I tell you!
Since I’m breaking a few laws with this one I am not telling who are the singers nanana.
Also it is unclear where the sampling stops and where the true schnauzer-sauce is starting. I’m just telling you can leave out the ladies and still a full track is playing for your little bear-dance. (If I’m ever planning to release this legally I would have to, don’t you just love copyright law?)
This track is sort of a new years resolution. The resolution is: A whole lot more like this to come!

Anyhow, wishing you all a Happy Christmas!

(do with this track as you please. Blog about it, remix it, give it away to your worst enemies, or just do a little nerdy dance to it.)

Matryomin

Sunday, December 6th, 2009

When my youngest niece Bette was born, she instantly received a nickname ‘babushka’. Don’t ask me why, I guess she just reminded us of one. Now the Matryomin is a cross between a Babushka and a Theremin. Even a step further below is the Matryomin Ensemble. There is something haunting about the song too. I have put this on repeat. Happy First Birhtday Bette Babushka!

re-201

Did a quick rendition on my Fender Rhodes of the Dr.Who theme. I always wanted to do something with this, it might end up in a normal big project, who knows. I Fed the Rhodes straight into a Roland re201 Space Echo. No processing was done afterwards.

Nothing beats tape, NOTHING! *insert frantic laughter*

The Swarvoski snare drum!
Point me to the drummer who could afford this (and I will shoot him)

Audioboo

Friday, May 29th, 2009

Just posted my first audioboo.

Audioboo.com is an audio-blogging tool which integrates perfectly with the iPhone…. Gone is all the studio-equipment . just one single microphone embedded in an apple phone can make you world famous! More strangeness coming to the schnauzerstudios.

Space Harrier + Ukelele

Monday, May 11th, 2009

I remember playing this game over and over and over again singing along with this tune. In retrospect there were a lot of games I played over and over just to hear the theme-music again. This was one of the musical highlights, and now it is done on ukelele’s. I’ll give this one 3 out of 5 crappy guitarplayers for just trying.

original tune can be found here, I still love it like a classic album.

Thru You

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009

A lot of stuff happening here around me. Both good and bad. I’ll save the good news for a future post and hope that the bad stuff will be over.
A minor bad thing is that I am not in this project! Kutiman Remixes youtube.  And the songs are GOOD! I mean this sums up the entire youtube music section, and turns it into something that is way more than the sum of its parts. Not only is this a brilliant idea, it is also executed in the exact right way.

Just click the above picture and all will become clear.

—->UPDATE : The site has been down since last night. The whole Internet is watching! They’ll be back, in the meantime click here for a preview : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzZi-btc8AA

Guitar Rack

Wednesday, February 4th, 2009

oak_6_bottle_guitarThe most important music gear fair (namm2009) is behind us and slowly we get a grasp of what oddities we can buy the coming year. First we take a look at this very guitar Rack.

Building a guitar Wine Rack is so wrong in many ways. It implies that Guitar players have an excellent taste. This manufacturer must understand that if such a guitarplayer is to be found, he probably couldn’t afford the proper wine to fill such a rack.
My guess: this thing will wind up in a shoddy dressing room with cigarette stains filled with half empty beer-bottles.

If you fit the above description you can always go to:
