So far for Schnauzers sleeve. But I am feeling almost has happy as these two singers.

Wing
I can’t believe I didn’t mention this earlier. This was on my bloglist for ages, but here we go.
On South Park Episode 128 there is this Chinese Singer featured called ‘Wing’. I won’t spoil the plot of the episode but I’ll just say that singing talents like she has are few and far between. By accident I discovered that she was actually based on a real person, with her own website, career, discography and numerous youtube movies. The music in that particular episode is very real, and comes from CD nr.9 in her catalog.
her website is here
the full south park episode can be viewed here
for a fast youtube impression go here.
Wing on iTunes is here
Be warned though: extreme corny midi-files , and sung with a tiny little accent. But don’t let that spoil the party! (my favourite CD I found on her site is: ‘Wing sings AC/DC’, but that goes without saying.
I’m loving youtube
Don’t you just love youtube. An endless pitt filled with talent. Keep diggin’!
Carnaval 2008

Since I live in the south of the Netherlands I’m suffering from a strange fever. Yes! Carnaval has begun.
(you can compare it a little to the New Orleans Mardi grass, or the Carnaval de Rio de Janeiro, only with somewhat different music). I won’t be celebrating much this year (4 days of drinking bear heavily and behaving like an idiot is too much for me these days), I’ll just have a quiet Sunday dressed in my Beethoven-suit behaving like I’m deaf for just one day.
This song was released by a local grocery store (jumbo) and it has terrorized unsuspecting shoppers for the last week.
It wasn’t released as a single, the only way to get it is through a free download.
My reaction to this is similar to people driving by an accident…. they simply HAVE to slow down and look.

Tommy Seebach
Tommy Mortensen Seebach (1949-2003) was called Denmark’s King of Pop. In 1977 he covered the shadows single ‘Apache’. Since 2005 this video is circulating the Net, and it is considered to be the worst music vid. of all time. I think we can do worse, but it is definitely in the top 10.
The most important lesson to be learned from this video: You cannot look cool and play the keyboards standing up at the same time.
Gasp
What were they thinking… People dressed up as spandex superheroes is fine by me, but halfway the violin ruins the whole thing. There is a strange feelig I get from watching this vid…
Jingle Bells #3

Ever since I heard a jumpstyle version of ‘Raindrops keep falling on my head’ I had the idea of making a complete album with such tunes. You must understand that this ‘version’ was just a kickdrum and a synthlead. That was it, no other instruments and the crowd went wild. So I started thinking of songs nobody would touch with a ten foot pole like ‘Stairway to heaven’ or ‘My way’. The trick would be to freely give away every single song to avoid anybody making any money out of this music.
Here is a special Christmas jumpstyle version I did of ‘Jingle Bells’. I really deeply hate it, so this feels as one hour of work wasted (and 2 minutes of your time…sorry about that).
I certainly didn’t enjoy,

Learn a song
The ‘Learn a song’ podcast…well….teaches you the lyrics to a song… Their philosophy is, if you repeat every line you’ll remember. In a slow rocking tempo and every line repeated twice makes this the most annoying Jingle Bells ever.
Click play only if you think you can handle this.
What’s wrong with the Finns?
Armi & Danny sing : ‘I wanna love you tender’
To me there is nothing wrong with this music, but here the chorus line shows some of the most un-coolest moves ever.
I warned you. Look away, avoid, avoid!
