I hate music stores.
I hate the people checking instruments they barely can afford, showing how they play stairway to heaven.
That’s because I don’t see playing notes in any particular order is an art form. To me that is exactly the same as a juggling shop where everybody is looking at each other doing the exact same tricks with different color balls.

This guy works at a music store. This series had me laughing so hard it was painful at some moment.

It’s about time I’d show my face, straighten my back and give some of you music geeks a sneak peak into the Schnauzer CD production.
First Sneak peak : I wish a were a chicken, an hommage to a very old German song from the 1936 movie “Glückskinder”.

Trouble counting to ten…

Derek Paravicini is 26 years old, doesn’t know left from right and has trouble counting to 10. He was born blind and lives in a home for autistic people. Despite his mental and physical disabilities, he is a wonderful pianist.

My question is: What does that say about pianists?

Over at Yanko Design a posting is written about an MP3 Cassette player. Not only do you have to use your finger to rewind or fast forward the songs, they come in 45 min.- 60 min. and 90 minute versions. Exactly that last idea is a great one. Bring in the mix-tapes of yore. Find 20 songs you like and put them on a tape. It’s the most personal gift you can give or receive. The equivalent of my mixtape is found here.

Unfortunately the mp3-player is not in production … YET!
