R.I.P ExtraLifeRadio, Hello Current Geek Weekly!

ELR was all about nerdy stuff  like videogames, books, crappy movies, and more. Most of those segments have got their own show nowadays like Filmsack for crappy movies, The Instance for Warcraft, Appslappy for iPhone apps, and now there is Current Geek Weekly, covering the rest.

O.K. I didn’t post this to sum up all the podcast I listen to,  I posted this because I did the tune. Click below to listen to the show.

Basicly this whole operation was a one shot. One microphone, one preamp, one piano, etc. I almost didn’t have to leave my chair, bending over to do a one-hand organ part, reaching left to get my ukelele. I think I need to install a Wii-fit in the studio to get some excersize, or use 2 hands and 30 overdubs to record the shakers.

Nobody’s Listening – 1:41

Creating this tune required me to listen to a few episodes, and in one of them Brian used a party-whistle. I immediately sent my wife to the store to get me some, because I knew that, that was exactly the right angle for this thing. The rest is just whistling the theme over and over again, playing the kazoo, noseflute, programming drums, playing the organ, and loads of other stuff you don’t want to know. And there you go.
